TESTIMONIALS

"Future Trees Trust select the best timber trees to enter their breeding programmes.  These are referred to as Plus Trees and typically are bigger than neighbours with superior form. A two man team climbed each tree to collect graftwood which they dropped to the ground for researchers to remove scion material.  However, the beech trees climbed this year were some of the biggest and most mature of those selected.  We use climbers to access the outer most crown to collect the best quality scion material for grafting.  Laurence and his team did an excellent job colleting beech graftwood this winter, going to great lengths climbing throughout the entire crown to gather the best scion material available.   Always punctual and polite, and good fun to work with."

"Laurence has now undertaken 3 fairly substantial jobs in my garden, which is a fairly confined space and not the easiest to work in. I have found it very helpful to be able to have a detailed discussion of the work beforehand and to have the benefit of his knowledge, experience and advice. I love trees and want very much to strike the right balance between pruning and felling for my neighbours' access to light and for safety, and my bias towards conservation. It's easy to have an intelligent conversation with Laurence about all aspects and it's a pleasure to work with him.

When it comes to doing the jobs Laurence is careful to do exactly what we've agreed and is happy to seek clarification on any fine detail. The quality of his work is excellent and I am consistently amazed by his monkey-like ability to reach branches that I might have thought were inaccessible. Everything is left tidy and Laurence is happy to cut the thicker wood into small logs.

Laurence's charges are very reasonable and I have no hesitation in recommending him wholeheartedly."

"Ford Treescapes have been amazing from the very beginning.  We had some trees that needed some work at a school site. Laurence walked around the site with me, gaining a good understanding of the area. The quote received was very competitive. Once the job was awarded to Ford Treescapes, Laurence visited site again and talked me through the job before the works commenced. Laurence kept me fully informed and updated throughout the project. Risk Assessments were provided, Laurence is very conscious about safety. The job was completed in a very professional manner and the site was left very tidy. We have been so impressed by the work that Ford Treescapes has done, we have invited them back on several occasions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ford Treescapes to anyone."

"Excellent work - providing a professional service. Laurence has fantastic knowledge and experience which provided me with confidence in the work he has undertaken - we have a large garden with many trees - Laurence was able to advise on the right management for the different trees and the outcome has been a significant improvement to the look of the garden and the general appearance of the trees.

I have been so impressed with the work undertaken we have asked Laurence to return 3 times for different jobs - all delivered to a high standard. I will definitely continue to use Laurence for tree, shrub and garden management. "

"When we purchased our house, we had some extremely large trees (you can tell I am no expert) which we wanted to remove. We contacted two other companies initially who said the job was 'too big'; 'leave the trees where they are' and 'not interested'. We were recommended Laurence by our landscape gardener and from the moment he saw the trees he highlighted a major safety risk. Both trees were unstable and posed a risk for our home and neighbours houses; one needed to be fully removed and one taken down in height.

The crew came in and they were incredibly professional. They were very large trees and it was made even more complicated due to overhead cables. Laurence conducted all health and safety checks and contacted the relevant utilities to ensure everything was covered and safe. We even had an added complication of a bee hive which he arranged a local bee keeper to come and move the bees before the tree came down.

Their operations was incredibly impressive! Using ropes and cleverly positioned cuts into the branches and extremely large trunk to ensure they fell to the ground safely. So impressive we took several videos.

We had an option to keep the wood or they could remove it for us. They cleared the garden and it was a pleasure from start to finish. The knowledge, experience and skill Laurence has is astounding and he is truly such a lovely guy! I cannot recommend him and the team enough! Ask him for the video of the tree coming down... it is worth a watch!

Thank you again... over 2 years on and I am still amazed with what you did and how you did it. I sleep so much better at night knowing those trees can't fall down on us (the wind gets bad here) I am sure they would have if they were left."
